This Week's Entertainment
Check out this week's edition of Entertainment Weekly for a brief bit about your favorite "well-dressed foursome". Falling under the "Download This" column, EW raves "somewhere between '70s-style guitar-rock grandeur and pre-weird Radiohead lives this inebriated, quasi-hallucinatory tale."

Cymbal WINNER!!
A big congratulations to Clay, our contest winner!!

Thank you to everyone who submitted their ideas with what they'd do with the Lovedrug/Eisley cymbal if they won it. There are some very resourceful fans out there! Below is the winning entry (we'll be waiting for our Prince tickets, Clay..........)

"I will use the cymbal as the final piece of my percussion deathbot with which I will use to...well, try and get it a spot as Prince's touring drummer."

Another Cymbal
Here in Ohio we’re mentally/spiritually/physically preparing ourselves for Lovedrug’s final tour of the year (have you heard of our friends, Matchbook Romance?). In the mean time, our own Matthew Putman has come up with a special treat for our friends of MySpace.

So head on over to our MySpace page to find out more.

Snowboards & Ballots
Feel like voting for something Lovedrug? Head over to AmpedSnowboarding.com and you can vote for Lovedrug’s music to be included on the official soundtrack for the “Amped 3” videogame. Votes will be accepted from both snowboarding enthusiasts, as well as those who just like to crash their player into trees. Personally, we wonder if “Pandamoranda” might be a better song for doing the later.

New Tour, New Songs?
Lovedrug’s new tour with The Juliana Theory kicks off tonight in State College, PA (you know, in shadows of nearby Mt. Nittany). After a couple shows to get warmed up, don’t be surprised if you hear the band playing an increasing number of new songs in September. Just a few of the songs overheard reverberating from the guy’s rehearsal space this past week included Ghost By Your Side, Thieving, American Swimming Lesson, and Bleed Together.

August 22
Better Than Cloning
Much like the mad scientists they are at heart, the gentlemen of Lovedrug slipped into the dark confines of their rehearsal space this past week to begin preparations for next month’s tour. In addition to rehearsing standards from PYA, the band has also begun to fiddle with some new material, some of which may surface in the upcoming live set. Stay tuned….

August 3

Relief Efforts
After another multi-month touring run, beginning in early June and including the U.S./Canada tour with Eisley, another run with Mae, and a number of headlining dates, Lovedrug are ready for a break. Aside from a couple random spot dates (Switchfoot, etc.), and studio time for writing some new material, August will see the band generally put their feet up for a much-deserved respite.

Nothing inspires a band to make those all-night drives more than receptive audiences. Thanks to everyone for coming out - thanks even more for singing along!

What's A Day Off?
Lovedrug has had a rare day off today, which offered some to time reflect and enjoy the current tour. Overcoming trials and tribulations of van troubles at the tour's start, the band has faithfully pressed on to deliver their inspiring nightly contribution to the vibrancy of rocknroll. With a standard setlist including Candy, Radiology, Pandamoranda, PYA, Rocknroll, Blackout, and Down Towards, the band has brought the rock. Though a tight tour of 4 bands, several nights have seen audiences successfully calling for Spiders, and a few times even Angels With Enemies. The rest of the tour, which leads west, promises to be special.

All Apologies
As those in attendance at the sold-out show in Anaheim on Thursday can attest, Michael has been severely ill and voiceless the last few days. Though he tried to pull through on Thursday, Michael's voice gave out completely 4 songs into the show at Chain Reaction. Michael was taken to a local hospital from the stage, where he has been diagnosed with sever Bronchitis and a 104 degree fever. As a result the shows in Hollywood tonight and Oakland tomorrow night have been cancelled. The band is already working on scheduling make-up shows and is determined to return to California by early Spring. Lovedrug plans to pick-up their current co-headlining tour with Action Action in Denver as originally scheduled on Monday the 31st.
