Biased Media
Frequent visitors will notice that the former "Audio" section has become the "Media" section. The reason for the more broad and inclusive title is simple; there is a whole lot more going on in there now. Check out the newly revamped Media section for not just audio, but also lyrics and videos. In fact, there are currently two videos from recent Lovedrug performances, including one from the October CMJ showcase at CBGB in NYC.

The Real World
Anyone who caught this week's episode of The Real World probably recognized the sizable snippet of Lovedrug's song "It Won't Last". The MTV pseudo-reality series, currently based in Philadelphia, included a large part of the song both featured and underneath dialogue. It was the part where one of the girls is really upset with the one of the guys because he drinks too much, and she used to like him but now she can't stand him anymore....or was that Real World San Diego?

October 20
Hard Corps
We’re pleased to announce the addition of the Lovedrug Press Corps to the website. Corps members will have opportunities to contribute in areas of photography, art, street teaming, and will have access to various exclusives. Visit the newly added Press Corps section for more information.

So the guys are taking the week off after concluding their regional cd-release tour in July and the just completed 20-day run with Copeland and The Working Title. The band looks forward to kicking off a new tour this week with an expected sell-out hometown show on the 4th, followed by a slew of college dates mostly as a headliner, and finishing September with club dates as far southwest as Texas and as northeast as New York. More dates are being added daily.

Hitting The Charts...No Big Deal
The debut week for Lovedrug's "Pretend You're Alive" was nothing short of stellar, resulting in the band's entry on several Billboard and related charts. Released on July 27, 2004, the album's Soundscan rankings currently place it at #43 for Independent Albums, #4 for Internet Albums, and top 20's and 30's overall in regional strongholds of Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. Huge thanks go out to all the Lovedrug supports who made this possible and continue to spread the word about Lovedrug. Thank you to one and all!

July 23
This Is Your Hometown...
To celebrate the release of Lovedrug's debut LP "Pretend You're Alive" with hometown fans, Lovedrug is presenting a one-time release party in Canton Ohio on Tuesday, July 27th. First, beginning at 7:00pm, Michael and David will treat the java sipping throng at Borders in The Strip to a unique acoustic set. Following this performance, the band invite one and all to join them at the renowned local establishment Mulligan's for a Champaign toast and an otherwise chill evening of celebration. If this isn't rocknroll, then we're not sure what is.....

July 22
PureVolume Feature

Check that site for several killer tracks from the Lovedrug debut that have previously been unreleased and/or not widely available. Rocknroll Hall of Fame
Michael is feeling much better after his automobile accident earlier this week. Secondary doctor visits confirm that Michael has only minor injuries and will heal in a short period of time. The band will return to the stage tonight as part of the Summer In The City Concert Series at The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in Cleveland. Lovedrug will share the stage with Spitafield on a free bill at 6:00pm.

July 19
Michael's Mishap
In some somber news, Michael was in a non-serious car accident early this morning. Lovedrug’s lead singer was not under the influence alcohol or anything similar, but simply had a momentary lapse due to fatigue. In swerving slightly off the road, Michael struck an illegally abandoned car, causing the Lovedrug van to spin off the road and into a highway fence. Michael suffered only minor injuries caused almost entirely by the ejection of the driver’s side airbag, including broken cartilage in his nose and limited bruises and lacerations on his face. The Lovedrug van experienced the worst of the damage and will need to be replaced as the band’s form of transportation. As a result of the incident, Lovedrug has cancelled this evening’s performance at Little Brothers in Columbus.

July 12

February 5
So, hello to all. Sorry for not writing since X-mas but Lovedrug has been busy like little beavers, making things happen for all to enjoy. It is unfortunate that kittens are not in season right now... I realize that this makes felines sound somewhat like fruit but it’s true. Spring is definitely the time to pick up a young little fury friend from your local animal shelter. Oh, yeah, in other news.. our album has a name now.. it’s called “pretend you’re alive”. Catchy right? It will be out soon… we promise… keep your ears to the ground. We will have new shows and tours listed as soon as we confirm them so please check the schedule/shows page frequently. Bye.
