Greetings.
Unfortunately Lovedrug will be canceling our upcoming shows in Akron and Nashville. We'd all been looking forward to playing some of the new material and are sorry to pull the plug. However the last minute convergence of studio time and various other schedules mean we'll be recording in California at those times.
I'm sure you will all be pleased to hear that producer Michael Beinhorn (Soundgarden, Mew, Korn, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and engineer Eric Stenman (Deftones, Dashboard Confessional) have both signed on for the new record. WeÕve already been doing preproduction and are really excited to get into the studio starting next week and begin putting all these ideas together.
Again, our apologies. We'll keep you updated on the new material and dates to come.

Greetings, in brief, from Lovedrug-land.
First, MTV2 added the "Ghost By Your Side" video this week (odd, as we now only now remember making it). It will be airing a couple times on 'Rock The Deuce' and then a couple more through out the day, or so we're told.
Second, we've been writing a lot and expect to be in the studio proper making a record this summer. Before doing so, however, we've decided to play a couple shows with the new material, sort of let the beasties out of the cage and see what happens in the light of day. The two shows will be:
5/17 Akron, OH @ Musica w/ Winslow
5/31 Nashville, TN @ 12th and Porter w/ Paper Route
We'll put details up on the website, MySpace, as well as Facebook (which we finally got around to setting up so feel free to seek us there).

In Appreciation
We wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who has been so generous and kind over the last couple weeks. It may sound a bit odd but this recent run with Sparta and Straylight Run was truly one of the best tours we've ever been on. Certainly we could have done without having all of our stuff stolen and our van and trailer torched. Nevertheless, the amount of charity and love shown by both our fellow musicians and all of you at the shows was overwhelming. We really appreciate all of your thoughts, donations, and encouragement. We'll be taking some time to recover but look forward to seeing you all soon!

Pushing The Video
Lovedrug shot a video in Chicago last week for "Pushing The Shine" with director Graham Baclagon in Chicago. Thanks to all who were chosen to participate as extras in the filming. Video Extras Needed!!
Lovedrug will be shooting a video for "Pushing The Shine" in Chicago on May 4th and are looking for 20-25 extras to appear in the video. We in Lovedrugland would like to extend to you our most humble apologies for our canceling of three shows. there has been a nasty bug traveling around our tour van since california leaving some in the wake with tonsilitis and severe flu symptoms. this nasty little demon of a bug has finally clasped michael in its dirty grips rendering him unable to perform. we have chosen to rest michael's throat and body to full recovery, thus being forced to cancel three shows. no wories though. we'll be fine and back at it in no time so fear not!

Lovedrug's Everything Starts...EP, serviced to radio earlier this month, has cracked the CMJ Radio Top 100 debuting at #90. Driven by the single and video "Ghost By Your Side" last week saw the EP jump another 15 spots to #75 overall.
Originally released as an exclusive for the Everything Starts...Tour last fall, the EP includes several previews from the forthcoming LP, a b-side, and of course the haunted cover of Nirvana's "Heart Shaped Box". The new album "Everything Starts Where It Ends" will release on February 20th in Japan and March 6th in the U.S.A. The beginning of February will see Lovedrug in Japan touring and promoting the release there, before returning to the States for a number of limited acoustic and radio appearances at the end of the month (more details to follow). On March 4th, the band will join The Plain White T's for a 60+ date trek across North America.

Tonight marks the conclusion of Lovedrug's main support run with The Smoking Popes.
